If you’re buying threaded jewelry pieces separately, you have to be careful.
For starters, the gauge of the post and the end have to match. But even if the gauge matches, it doesn’t mean the pieces will work together. The threading for the post and the end can still be different, especially if they’re from different manufacturers.
We'll show you an example below. Both the barbell and the end are 16g. When threaded together, the end doesn’t go in all the way.
