Custom orders are items scattered throughout the site in their appropriate categories. They will ALWAYS be noted in the title with "CUSTOM ORDER". Basically you get a lot more control over the item you want and its top quality.

Majority of custom orders are sent to the manufacturers weekly, but there are some companies that are placed every other week.

Custom order time frames are not chosen by Bodyartforms, but are given to us by each manufacturer on how long it will take them to complete our orders.  The time frame varies depending on the manufacturer and each custom ordered item will have the estimated time frame listed on the item page. All time frames are subject to change without notice. The time frames are on how long it takes the piece to be made and it does not include shipping time.

Your ENTIRE ORDER will be held until we receive all your items. If you want the other items to come before the custom ordered item then you need to PLACE A SEPERATE ORDER. Picking express or priority mail will not get your custom ordered item to you faster, it will only speed up the process AFTER we get your item and ship your order out. Once we receive a complete order, we will ship the order out within 24 hours.

Once an order has been placed with a manufacturer, we are UNABLE TO MAKE ANY CHANGES! Please double check your specs and that you order the correct size beforehand.

If you want to cancel, remove or change a custom order item there will be a 15% restocking fee on each item because we cannot stop the pieces from being made, nor can we return them to the manufacturer.

In our drop-down menus for adding to cart, we show the gauge of the item you are ordering, then the length/diameter, then the ball size if it has any:

Jewelry is measured through a gauge system (conversion chart below). The higher the gauge number the smaller the wire is. For reference, a standard "earring" is usually 20 gauge. Jewelry gauges can vary between manufacturers. There is no universal regulation on companies to make a standard size in body jewelry. This is because some jewelry is made outside of the USA and measured in millimeters. And in the USA jewelry is measured in inches.

Rings

Rings are an essential item that can be worn in many piercings. They come in various styles:
  • Captive bead rings - These use tension to hold a bead in place.
  • Clickers - These use a hinge to open and close the ring.
  • Segment rings - These have a "segment" that comes completely out of the jewelry similar to removing a bead. But it looks like a completely seamless piece of jewelry.
  • Seamless rings - These rings require bending to open & close.
How to measure rings
  • Gauge - This is the thickness of the ring itself.
  • Diameter/Length - Measure directly across the inside center of the ring.

I love that this brand makes smaller diameter pinchers! The amber one I got ended up being more yellow and while it looks great, the color variation was a slight disappointment. I've got another amber glass piece from them in this size so there must just be variations in the glass they use.

Glass for my septum has been the best choice I have made so far. Not only does it look great but it feels great. I no longer have to deal with that metal smell. The color is very light and yet it really stand out. What I really love about this pincer is that it does not hang low. All the pinchers I own sit right about my lip, so it made eating and all that annoying. Although I cannot flip it up because the opening space run a bit small. Now this bad boy, I say it's the perfect length especially since my septum is a bit low. Overall a fantatsic buy, I would love to own more colors!

The glass is gorgeous... Beautiful green in the premium alien. But the ends are super close together and can't really be flipped. It is beautiful and in the 3/8, it doesn't hang low, which I like. I just hate that the ends are so close together and so sharp

3/8" Translucent sparkle blue. I love this, very subtle and cute but a little bit more edgy than what I usually wear. The only thing is there can be an ever so slight variance with them, and even though it's very very minor, with cartilage it can be the difference between one piece sliding in effortlessly and one hurting and pinching. They are the right size as far as I'm aware as they don't look close to 10g so I'm unsure why this one has issues more than my other 12g pieces. Still worth it though!
