Glad to have the availability of 1g, I love Glasswear Studios and quality was as expected. However, the concave back is dreadful and extremely uncomfortable. The wings caused scarring on the inside of my lip due to the inconsistent shape not nestling well. And rather than spare my teeth - in seven months the concave back caused significant pitting and erosion on my teeth that I never had with my 2g flatback. The wings made the jewellery very insecure. The wings would spin continuously in my mouth while talking or eating, causing the wings to sit vertically, rather than remaining horizontal. In addition, the lack of any continuous rim on the labret caused my jewellery to sit lower against my teeth, which caused the labret to often fall into my mouth, scraping my teeth along the way. The constant grazing of the jewellery against my teeth from the wings spinning or the jewellery falling out caused a lot of damage and sensitivity in my teeth, which I never had before. Today I put a 0g GWS flatback in and it is infinitely more comfortable. The jewellery sits higher again, and there is no scraping against my teeth when I smile, talk or eat. I would strongly reccomend preordering GSW flatback pieces at 1g or over to avoid the concave back labrets. Again, I love GSW but the concave backs are horrific. Never again.
