All of these plugs are solid on the front with hollow backs.  0g through 3/4" have a wearable area of approximately 5/16", and 1" has a wearable area of approximately 3/8".

This listing includes discontinued solid front plugs, injection molded design front plugs, hand poured and modified solid front plugs, and parylene coated hider plugs.

Parylene coating is a process that is widely used in the medical industry to provide silicone with a low-friction surface. This means that instead of the silicone plug having a rubbery surface, it now has a smooth, almost slick finish. It has been determined that this coating effectively eliminates mechanically-induced sensitivities related to the tacky surface texture of uncoated silicone body jewelry. The coating also makes the silicone slightly firmer, which aids in insertion.  Only those items that have been specified as such are parylene coated.

In our drop-down menus for adding to cart, we show the gauge of the item you are ordering, then the length/diameter, then the ball size if it has any:

Jewelry is measured through a gauge system (see chart below). The higher the gauge number the smaller the wire is. A standard "earring" is usually 20 gauge. Jewelry gauges/sizes can vary between manufacturers. There is no universal regulation on companies to make a standard size in body jewelry. A big part of this is that some jewelry is made overseas and measured in millimeters. And in the USA jewelry is measured in inches/gauges. So many times jewelry can be anywhere from .5mm to 1mm different.
