Crafted from stunning brass, these ornate circle weights have a hinge and clasp design for a seamless look when worn.

The below measurements are approximate:

  • Each hoop has an outer diameter that measures 1-1/2" in diameter and weighs between 45 grams and 46 grams
  • The inner diameter measures 11/16"
  • Made of solid brass, white brass or gunmetal (patina silver plated brass)

These weights have a clicker hinge that allow for easy insertion.

In our drop-down menus for adding to cart, we show the gauge of the item you are ordering, then the length/diameter, then the ball size if it has any:

Jewelry is measured through a gauge system (conversion chart below). The higher the gauge number the smaller the wire is. For reference, a standard "earring" is usually 20 gauge. Jewelry gauges can vary between manufacturers. There is no universal regulation on companies to make a standard size in body jewelry. This is because some jewelry is made outside of the USA and measured in millimeters. And in the USA jewelry is measured in inches.

Rings

Rings are an essential item that can be worn in many piercings. They come in various styles:
  • Captive bead rings - These use tension to hold a bead in place.
  • Clickers - These use a hinge to open and close the ring.
  • Segment rings - These have a "segment" that comes completely out of the jewelry similar to removing a bead. But it looks like a completely seamless piece of jewelry.
  • Seamless rings - These rings require bending to open & close.
How to measure rings
  • Gauge - This is the thickness of the ring itself.
  • Diameter/Length - Measure directly across the inside center of the ring.

Straight Barbells

Straight barbells are commonly worn in various ear projects, nipples, and tongue piercings.
How to measure straight barbells
  • Gauge - This is the thickness of the post/bar itself.
  • Length - Measure directly across the post between the ends.

Double Flare Plugs / Eyelets / Gauges

Commonly worn in earlobes, but can be worn in other stretched piercings.
How to measure double flare plugs
  • Gauge - Measure the size of the plug across the middle.
  • Wearable area - Measure straight across the side of the plug between where the flares start.
  • Flare size / rise - Measure the distance from the side of the plug to where the flare ends.

Single Flare Plugs / Eyelets / Gauges

Commonly worn in earlobes, but can be worn in other stretched piercings.
How to measure single flare plugs
  • Gauge - Measure the size of the plug across the middle.
  • Wearable area - Measure straight across the side of the plug between where one flare starts and where the o-ring starts.
  • Flare size / rise - Measure the distance from the side of the plug to where the flare ends. (see image of double flare plugs)

No Flare Plugs / Eyelets / Gauges

Commonly worn in earlobes, but can be worn in other stretched piercings.
How to measure no flare plugs
  • Gauge - Measure the size of the plug across the middle.
  • Wearable area - Measure straight across the side of the plug between the o-rings.

Teardrop Shaped Plugs

Worn in earlobes
How to measure teardrop shaped jewelry
  • Gauge - Add the height + width and then divide by 2. Then use the conversion chart to get the closest gauge.
  • Wearable area - Measure directly across the plug between where the flares begin.
  • Flare size / rise - Measure from between the flares to the edge of where the flares end.

Not the review you wanted but the review you needed. My lobes have been at 32mm for over 20 years and I have amassed a very posh collection of jewelry - so you can believe me when I tell you that these weights are absolutely stunning!! In fact they may just be my favorite pair ever, howeves, legally I can't give them more than 4 stars because as they come they are pretty much unwearable. As others have mentioned the closure mechanism is just incredibly difficult to open. I managed to "fix" it by repeatedly opening and closing it with my large ring opening pliers. You can buy those on here as well. Mine are a good 25 years old and are not rubber coated like the new fancy ones. I would still use a rag for extra protection to avoid scratching the weights. If you position the pliers as I did you can open and close the weight with almost no effort. By the time I finally got the weights to open easily by hand they would not stay closed, so I used a little "diamond glaze" directly on the closures "tooth" Diamond glaze is just a glue that dries hard and crystal clear, nail polish would probably work just as well. Just a little was enough to thicken the tooth enough that the closure now works flawlessly! I used a little too much but when I closed the first weight it automatically shaved off the excess, the other one I just chipped some off with my fingernail. If these weights had a magnetic closure I would give them a million stars! I wish they also came in stainless steel and colored titanium.

I love the appearance and the weight of them. Not 5/5 stars though because I'm not too fond of the hinge mechanism. It's very hard to open, but at least it's secure.

Love love love these! They have amazing weight, and I haven't found them too heavy- I wear them with 25 mm teardrop silicone tunnels. The pattern and finish on each piece is gorgeous, and the closures have held up great so far.

Very good looking weights. Better than I expected actually. One of the clickers feels a little loose but has never undid itself. These can be counted on the heavier side so I don't wear them for every basics. Love wearing them still.

Such a cool pair of brass weights. They look good alone, with tunnels, or with other hoops/weights.
