When opening these rings for insertion, it is best to twist the two ends away from each other rather than opening the ring as one would do with a clicker ring. The second method will distort the shape of the ring.
THIS IS A LIMITED ITEM!
Limited jewelry is usually re-stocked much less frequently and is harder for us to get from the manufacturer. So get it while you can, while it's available!
In our drop-down menus for adding to cart, we show the gauge of the item you are ordering, then the length/diameter, then the ball size if it has any:
14g - 3/4 inch (5mm balls)
6g - 1/2 inch (8mm balls)
Jewelry is measured through a gauge system (see chart below). The
higher the gauge number the smaller the wire is. A standard "earring" is usually 20 gauge. Jewelry gauges/sizes can vary between manufacturers. There is no universal regulation on companies to make a standard size in body jewelry. A big part of this is that some jewelry is made overseas and measured in millimeters. And in the USA jewelry is measured in inches/gauges. So many times jewelry can be anywhere from .5mm to 1mm different. CONVERSION CHART:
9mm to 10mm
Measuring septum jewelry
Septum jewelry is measured by the diameter straight across the center of a ring. How far it sits below your nose will be dependant on where you're pierced. We've given an example below of a septum that's pierced a bit lower (see the side shot) and how it will look with different diameters. The general rule is, the smaller the diameter the tighter the fit.
5/16" (~8mm) diameter
3/8" (~10mm) diameter
1/2" (~12mm diameter)
