Crafted from solid gold, and set with an array of sparkly CZ gems, these Tempeste chain clickers are all about style and sophistication.

The below measurements are approximate:

  • The entire clicker ring, with chains, measures 15.7mm tall by 12.1mm wide
  • Made of solid 14k yellow or white gold
  • Inner wearable measures 7.9mm in diameter
  • The CZ gems measure 1mm in diameter
In our drop-down menus for adding to cart, we show the gauge of the item you are ordering, then the length/diameter, then the ball size if it has any:

Jewelry is measured through a gauge system (conversion chart below). The higher the gauge number the smaller the wire is. For reference, a standard "earring" is usually 20 gauge. Jewelry gauges can vary between manufacturers. There is no universal regulation on companies to make a standard size in body jewelry. This is because some jewelry is made outside of the USA and measured in millimeters. And in the USA jewelry is measured in inches.

Rings

Rings are an essential item that can be worn in many piercings. They come in various styles:
  • Captive bead rings - These use tension to hold a bead in place.
  • Clickers - These use a hinge to open and close the ring.
  • Segment rings - These have a "segment" that comes completely out of the jewelry similar to removing a bead. But it looks like a completely seamless piece of jewelry.
  • Seamless rings - These rings require bending to open & close.
How to measure rings
  • Gauge - This is the thickness of the ring itself.
  • Diameter/Length - Measure directly across the inside center of the ring.

Straight Barbells

Straight barbells are commonly worn in various ear projects, nipples, and tongue piercings.
How to measure straight barbells
  • Gauge - This is the thickness of the post/bar itself.
  • Length - Measure directly across the post between the ends.

Double Flare Plugs / Eyelets / Gauges

Commonly worn in earlobes, but can be worn in other stretched piercings.
How to measure double flare plugs
  • Gauge - Measure the size of the plug across the middle.
  • Wearable area - Measure straight across the side of the plug between where the flares start.
  • Flare size / rise - Measure the distance from the side of the plug to where the flare ends.

Single Flare Plugs / Eyelets / Gauges

Commonly worn in earlobes, but can be worn in other stretched piercings.
How to measure single flare plugs
  • Gauge - Measure the size of the plug across the middle.
  • Wearable area - Measure straight across the side of the plug between where one flare starts and where the o-ring starts.
  • Flare size / rise - Measure the distance from the side of the plug to where the flare ends. (see image of double flare plugs)

No Flare Plugs / Eyelets / Gauges

Commonly worn in earlobes, but can be worn in other stretched piercings.
How to measure no flare plugs
  • Gauge - Measure the size of the plug across the middle.
  • Wearable area - Measure straight across the side of the plug between the o-rings.

Teardrop Shaped Plugs

Worn in earlobes
How to measure teardrop shaped jewelry
  • Gauge - Add the height + width and then divide by 2. Then use the conversion chart to get the closest gauge.
  • Wearable area - Measure directly across the plug between where the flares begin.
  • Flare size / rise - Measure from between the flares to the edge of where the flares end.

Curved Barbells

Curved barbells are commonly worn in various ear projects & eyebrows.
How to measure curved barbells
  • Gauge - This is the thickness of the post/bar itself.
  • Length - Measure directly across the post between the ends.

Circular Barbells

Circular barbells are commonly worn in various ear projects, septums, nipples, and lips.
How to measure circular barbells

Verified purchase 16g 5/16" White Gold
TLDR: Well made, lightweight, comfortable piece that is dainty/classy, but the white gold is not noticable on fair skin. Chains are thin gauge, but good quality. For maximum impact, choose the color that most contrasts your skin tone. I was looking for a statement piece. I love the look of the Maya from BVLA but cannot justify its outrageous cost. When I saw this piece, I thought it might be a good compromise. It had similar style chains and a beautiful gemmed accent. It was 1/3 of the price of the Maya, so I pulled the trigger. When I received it, I was a bit disappointed by the gauge of the chains, but it was still pretty, so I put it in - I wish I had returned it. The gauge of the chains is very thin, resulting in the white gold not being noticable against my fairer skin tone. The effect is that you mainly see the gemmed ring. The gemmed ring is lovely, but you have to be close to see the chains, or they have to hit the light just right. If you want the chains to be more noticeable, I think the White Gold is best for someone with a darker skin tone. The white gold against a dark skin tone would be stunning. I am quite paranoid about breaking the chains as the gauge is so thin, but they seem to be well made and I have had no issues after a few months. It is comfortable and lightweight. I barely notice it. When adjustment is needed, it is easy to adjust by feel to keep centered, but it tends to stay in place well. I also own the Warrior from Tawapa (I bought direct from Tawapa so cannot post a picture/review here for it). For the aesthetic I'm looking for, the Warrior is a better option. I prefer the Warrior, but since this one was more than double the price, I feel obligated to wear this one more often.

So pretty! Flashier than I am used to... but it's growing on me quite quickly.

Verified purchase 16g 5/16" White Gold
My fiancé got me the white gold for a Mother's Day present because he noticed I had been eyeing this piece. I am all for paying for quality but I was a bit skeptical of the steep price. However, when it arrived I was like WOW! Very high quality piece and unique. If you have the budget for it this piece is definitely worth it. You won't regret it.
