Bloodwood, also known as Satine, is a sustainable wood harvested in South America. It gets its name from its vivid red color, although it can darken over time as it is exposed to sunlight or oils. The grain of bloodwood is usually straight and fine, with a mild chatoyancy.
Dark Raintree, known locally as Mai Pradu, is an easy to work with wood that finishes well. Related to Amboyna and Narra wood, this wood is dark brown with some minor dark striping.
