If you have piercings, you know how important it is to know your jewelry measurements so you can shop for new pieces. Today, we'll be showing you how to measure the most common types of body jewelry using our handy gauge card.
Let's start with plugs or tunnels. The two measurements you need to know are the gauge and wearable length.
This includes clicker rings, seamless rings, segment rings, and captive bead rings. You'll need to know the gauge and diameter.
For circular barbells and nose hoops, measure the diameter across the widest point, always measuring the inside of the jewelry. In the image below, the circular barbell's diameter is a 1/2 inch (1/2").
This includes regular curved barbells and belly ring jewelry.
This includes labrets and straight barbells.
That's it for this quick guide on how to measure the most popular types of body jewelry. If you need information on measuring a different type of jewelry, check out our comprehensive measuring guide on our website. Each product page on our site also includes detailed measuring instructions for that specific piece.
