The nitrile rubber captive beads have an indentation on each two side, the diameter of with matches the gauge in the description, however the bead can still be used with captive rings in other gauges.  The diameter of the bead and the width of the captive's gap are the features to note when choosing a bead. The indentations on each ball are deep enough to keep the bead securely on most captive rings.

These are super helpful. Sometimes I have trouble with getting balls back into cbr jewelry, but there's a little give to these versus a steel ball, so they make the process way easier. They stay secure and add a little color into my jewelry. Thanks!
