I purchased the 18g threadless post in 1/4" and I'm glad I did. I had considered 3/16" for my upper nostril piercing, which would have been way too small. It's always good to have a little play in case the end gets snagged on anything or becomes irritated for any reason. This one is long enough to accommodate any incidents of that nature, but I also don't find it sticking halfway out of my nose when I pass the mirror as I did with my longer post. Finding the right size is important, so be sure to keep the length of initial piercing jewelry in mind when you size down. As always I am completely satisfied with my Neometal jewelry and highly recommend this item.

SO happy I ordered these at 1/4" length. It's a really usable size and easy to get in and out but doesn't show too much "excess barbell" in most piercings. The only disappointment was with the titanium color. The blurple is really more of a fuschia pink, which I didn't mind, but there were a few spots that were left HP.

When I ordered this I was unsure about the length for my tragus. The product itself is fantastic, but I do wish I had ordered 1/4" instead. As of right now it LOOKS like a perfect fit BUT I can feel some pressure. So I'm not sure if that will cause problems later on.
