Wore this for my surgery; I was having a laparoscopy and they were strict about no metal jewelry. I had this in and the doctor was going to have one incision in my navel when he took it out and went to put it back in, he said it practically disintegrated and was gone. So no more navel retainer for me, he instead used very heavy gauge suture wire to thread through my somewhat fresh piercing to keep it from closing as it would be about a full day before I'd be able to remove the dressing to put anything back into it.

Looks as intended, and doesn't catch on shirts quite as much as a barbell will a ball. Sadly, the ring falls off very easily. I have no worries about the ring falling out, though, even when the ring falls off. I would recommend this to anyone that is having difficulties with shirts or things catching on their barbells.

I got this for use during an MRI. The piercing was pretty fresh so I was afraid of losing it while swapping jewelry, but I think the rounded end on this made it a breeze to get in a fussy new piercing. My only concern is that the flat disk end is a little Pointed on the sides, so if it'll be in a place where that end pressed tight against skin, I'd look for something else.

Only have worn this a couple times, worried about the o-ring coming off the retainer, but hasn't yet! Don't even know it's there, not too invisible, but it's hard to hide a belly piercing when your belly's showing anyway! More than worth it to have just in case.
