Left means the seam will be on the left of the ring and right means the seam will be on the right of the ring.
The ring is going to be niobium and the beads are going to be titanium.
When opening this piece for insertion it is best to twist the two ends away from each other, rather than opening the ring as one would do with a standard captive bead ring. The second method will distort the shape of the ring.
