I used these to give my sensitive earlobes a break before stretching because they got a bit roughed up by externally threaded metal jewelry, and these worked perfectly! Very comfortable to insert and wear. A bit fiddly to get to stay in without a flare, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly.

I have bought several of these, and while I do like them and continue to wear them for surgeries that I require, one of them broke in my piercings while I was asleep. It broke cleanly with no sharp edges and I was not injured, but it still happened. That's what I get for ordering blemished pieces I suppose, but they are cheap and good enough for what I need them for.
